Kemer is one of those Turkish resorts that knows exactly what it's doing: sunshine, the Mediterranean, and a holiday atmosphere that sets in from the very first hour. The Viking Garden fits naturally into this setting, with its 12,000 m² of gardens creating a green buffer between the bustle of the town centre and the calm of the hotel. This isn't a sprawling complex lost in the pines, it's right in the heart of Kemer, within walking distance of everything, yet sheltered from the noise. That duality is what makes the property interesting. The promise is straightforward and delivered: arrive, drop your bags, and stop worrying for a week.

Arrival

The transfer from Antalya Airport covers around 55 km, roughly an hour of coastal road where the Taurus mountains tumble down towards the sea. Arriving at the hotel, it quickly becomes clear that the 12,000 m² of grounds give generous breathing room for 264 rooms, without the ant-hill feel that larger all-inclusive resorts can sometimes produce. Reception operates around the clock, which is welcome when flights land late at night, as they sometimes do depending on airline schedules. Rooms are available from 14:00 on arrival day. If you land early, it's worth bringing a snack, as the restaurant may be closed on arrival. Standard rooms measure approximately 23 m², a solid size for the category. The layout works well: a fitted bathroom, hairdryer, balcony, air conditioning and satellite television. The balcony is the room's real asset, a private decompression zone to start and end each day. The main double bed can be supplemented with a spare bed to accommodate up to 3 people. The hotel also has 2 accessible rooms of 24 m², available on request subject to availability. Note that the minibar, safe, direct telephone line and in-room wifi are all available at an extra charge.

Dining, all included

The all-inclusive formula structures the day around five dining moments. The main restaurant buffet opens at 07:30 for breakfast, followed by lunch at 12:30, a snack from 14:00 to 16:00, tea time from 17:00 to 18:00, and dinner from 19:30 to 21:30. The rhythm is well-paced and the time slots are clear. For a change from the buffet, the hotel's Italian Cuisine à la carte restaurant is open from 19:00 to 22:00, by reservation, from 15 May to 15 October. Access is offered once per stay for 5 euros per adult, drinks not included. It's a pleasant way to step out of the buffet routine for one evening. For drinks, two bars operate throughout the day: the lobby bar from 10:00 to midnight, and the pool bar from 10:00 to 23:00. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included in the formula between 10:00 and 23:00. However, fresh fruit juices, Turkish coffee, imported drinks, certain cocktails and bottled drinks are not included. The all-inclusive formula also does not apply at the private beach. We recommend verifying the details of the all-inclusive offer directly with the Viking Garden Hotel, as inclusions may vary depending on the period and room type.

Days by the water

The Viking Garden has three pools: two outdoor ones, including one dedicated to children, and one indoor pool, which is unheated. The outdoor pools are the social heart of the day for most guests. Sun loungers and parasols are available at the hotel. Water slides are accessible from 1 May to 15 October, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00. For those who prefer the sea, the hotel runs a free shuttle to its private beach 1,100 m away. Beach towels are available at the hotel at an extra charge. The public beach is within walking distance at 600 m. Bear in mind that the all-inclusive formula does not apply at the private beach, so plan accordingly if you intend to spend a full day there. Sporting options are well covered for a 4-star property: tennis court (lighting and equipment at extra charge), table tennis, darts, billiards (at extra charge) and gymnastics. Board games including backgammon, chess and cards are also available. The spa centre features a sauna, Turkish bath, steam room and fitness room. Massages and treatments are accessible at the spa but are charged separately.

Evening vibes

From 1 May to 15 October, excluding Sundays, the international entertainment team takes over in the evenings with a dedicated evening programme. The lobby bar stays open until midnight, allowing guests to wind down over a drink without rushing. The atmosphere sits comfortably in the classic beach resort register: convivial, relaxed, unpretentious. To get the most out of the stay from the start, our French-speaking representative organises an information meeting that is well worth attending. It covers how the hotel operates, the local area and the various activities available around Kemer.

Who is it for?

The Viking Garden is a naturally family-friendly property. The kids' club welcomes children aged 4 to 12, from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 14:30 to 17:00, from 1 May to 15 October (closed on Sundays). The children's pool, water slides and play areas form a coherent programme for younger guests, while parents unwind by the main pool or in the spa. Couples and seniors will also find their rhythm here: the pace is relaxed, Kemer town centre is within walking distance, and the all-inclusive formula removes the daily budget friction. Note that pets are not allowed on the property.

The cherry on top

The one detail that stands out: the free shuttle to the private beach is a genuine comfort, especially for families with young children who don't want to walk 15 minutes under the sun loaded with bags, towels and inflatables.
