Some resorts merely pretend to be large. The Maspalomas Princess genuinely is. From the moment you step through the entrance, your eyes are drawn across a sprawling aquatic landscape stretching under the southern Gran Canaria sun: nine pools, palm-lined paths, thatched tropical huts, and in the distance, the sound of children racing down the waterpark slides. The atmosphere is that of a miniature archipelago set right in Maspalomas, a few hundred metres from the dunes that made this corner of the island famous. It quickly becomes clear that you will have very little reason to leave.
Arrival
The resort unfolds across two four-storey buildings connected to and sharing facilities with the sister property, Tabaiba Princess, giving the whole complex an unusually generous scale. The 798 rooms are modern, styled with a contemporary touch without excess, and every single one comes with a balcony or terrace, a feature that makes waking up in southern light feel like a daily privilege. Standard rooms, around 30 square metres, accommodate up to two adults and one child comfortably. For larger families or guests wanting more room to breathe, the 60-square-metre Suites include a separate lounge, a private bedroom, two bathrooms, and two furnished balconies.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite television, a safe, an empty minibar available for personal use, a hairdryer, and toiletries. Two pool towels are provided and can be exchanged twice a week at no extra charge, a thoughtful detail that saves packing space. Check-in opens at 14:00, check-out is by 12:00, with luggage storage available. The front desk operates around the clock, and on-site services include an excursion desk, currency exchange, and car rental.
Dining, all included
The all-inclusive formula covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as buffets in the main restaurant, where live cooking stations add a sense of theatre to the meal. Watching dishes prepared in front of you and filling your plate to order gives the buffet format an energy that generic spreads rarely achieve.
Beyond the main restaurant, two themed restaurants elevate the dining experience further. One is dedicated to Asian cuisine, the other to Italian specialities. For stays of at least five nights, guests can dine once per week in each of these two restaurants at no extra charge, subject to advance booking, which is mandatory. Poolside, two snack restaurants, La Choza and El Mordisco, are housed in genuine tropical thatched huts and serve food without asking you to stray far from the water. Five bars are distributed across the resort: two by the pools, one in the adults-only area, one chill-out bar with a lounge space and terrace on the Tabaiba side, and one on the Maspalomas side with a large outdoor entertainment area where evening shows take place. A premium drinks option is available at extra cost, giving access to a curated selection of top-brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
We recommend verifying the exact all-inclusive inclusions, particularly regarding alcoholic beverages, directly on the official resort website or with your JustRelax advisor, as details may vary by season and room type.
Days by the water
Nine pools, six for adults and three for children, shape the rhythm of the day quite naturally. Four of the six adult pools are heated in winter, as are all three children's pools and the two waterpark pools, ensuring comfortable swimming year-round. The waterpark, located in the Maspalomas zone, features slides and water play areas. An artificial sandy beach borders the pool area for guests who prefer lounging at ground level. Generous sunbathing decks with sun loungers and parasols provide ample space for everyone.
For those seeking distance from the family buzz, the adults-only area functions as a genuine retreat. Its heated pool is equipped with massage jets and a counter-current swimming system. A dedicated bar, sun loungers, and Balinese beds available on request for an additional charge complete a setting where the resort shifts tone entirely and leans into calm.
Beach volleyball and table tennis are available for guests who want to stay active without heading to the gym. The fully equipped fitness centre is reserved for guests aged 18 and over. The spa, also adults-only from age 18 and operating by appointment, offers indoor and outdoor massage rooms, massages, beauty and body treatments, manicure and pedicure, a sauna, and a Turkish bath, all at an additional cost. Nine hundred metres from the resort, the Maspalomas Golf 18-hole course is accessible for those who want to practise their swing with the dunes as a backdrop, also at an extra charge.
Evening vibes
As the sun drops behind the dunes, the resort keeps its momentum. The bar on the Maspalomas side, with its broad outdoor space, hosts nightly shows that give the evenings a festive edge. The mini-disco runs year-round for younger guests, while parents find their own corner at the chill-out bar with its lounge area and terrace on the Tabaiba side. The energy moves between animated and relaxed depending on where you plant yourself, and that balance is exactly what makes a large resort work well.
Who is it for?
The Maspalomas Princess is built for families who refuse to let the adults' experience suffer. The mini club welcomes children aged 4 to 12 six days a week with supervised activities. Children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult. The heated waterpark, the play area, and the year-round mini-disco together create a programme that genuinely keeps younger guests occupied from morning until bedtime.
The resort works equally well for couples or seniors who appreciate vast grounds, the mild Canarian climate throughout the year, and the peacefulness of the adults-only zone. Maspalomas itself, with its nature reserve dunes, cycling paths under the palms, and easy access to Playa del Inglés and Meloneras around five minutes by car, adds a layer of exploration for those who occasionally feel like venturing beyond the resort gates.

The cherry on top
The one standout detail: the two themed restaurants, Asian and Italian, are each included once per week at no extra charge for stays of five nights or more, turning two evenings into proper sit-down dining experiences without touching your wallet.
