Just two kilometres from Kos town and within sight of the Turkish coast, the Blue Lagoon Resort sprawls across a lush estate with rare generosity: 660 rooms spread across a main building and nine additional structures, a 4,000 m² outdoor pool shimmering under the Aegean sun, a water park just 500 metres away, and no fewer than ten bars open throughout the day. The all-inclusive package here doesn't feel like a standard deal. It's a well-oiled hospitality machine, designed so that every moment, from the first morning coffee to the last evening drink, unfolds without constraint or mental accounting.
Arrival
Stepping into the Blue Lagoon Resort, the first impression is one of space. The complex is built around a single-storey main building, six two-storey wings and three more intimate satellite buildings, all connected by an internal shuttle service. Reception operates around the clock with a concierge on hand, and a luggage storage service is available for early arrivals or late departures.
Rooms come in two categories. The garden view room, ranging from 18 to 25 m², sleeps up to three adults or two adults and one child, and features a furnished terrace or balcony, individually controlled air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a mini-fridge, a tea and coffee tray, and a full bathroom with bath or shower, robes, slippers and a hairdryer. The Family Room stretches to 43 m² and accommodates up to four adults or two adults and two children, with identical amenities. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Dining, all included
The Blue Lagoon Resort's dining offer is one of the most structured we have encountered at this level. The Mesogios buffet restaurant is the heart of the complex, serving all three meals with international and regional cuisine, and offering gluten-free options on request. It's where the day begins and ends in a lively, relaxed atmosphere.
But it's beyond the buffet that the resort reveals its true character. The Italian à la carte restaurant Karavi opens for breakfast and serves an exclusively Italian dinner menu in the evening. Nisos offers a buffet breakfast and themed culinary evenings. The Golden Sun takes guests on a contemporary Chinese journey, while Mythos, our personal favourite, is a Greek à la carte restaurant with a direct view over the Aegean, where local ingredients and Mediterranean flavours speak for themselves. The Satellite Pool Restaurant serves a continental breakfast until 11am and lunch. Snacks are available between 2:30pm and 6pm at the Mesogios and Athina pool restaurants, and coffee, tea and biscuits are served at the Faros bar and Athina restaurant from 4pm to 6pm. A crêpe stand near the main pool and the water park covers afternoon sweet cravings.
All ten bars are included in the all-inclusive package and serve cocktails, beers, wines, fruit juices, cappuccino, hot chocolate and soft drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, on a self-service basis. We invite you to verify the full details of the all-inclusive offer directly with the Blue Lagoon Resort, as inclusions may vary depending on the season and room type.
Days by the water
Water defines the Blue Lagoon Resort experience from morning to evening. The 4,000 m² freshwater main pool, complete with a Jacuzzi, is the natural centrepiece of the complex, the place where days dissolve between a few laps and a sun lounger under clear skies. Two additional adults-only pools are available in the satellite buildings for those seeking a quieter atmosphere. Pool and beach towels are provided.
Five hundred metres from the main complex, the water park is a destination in its own right, with a lazy river, slides for adults and children (Kamikaze, Idrotubo, Idrotubo Mix, Toboga New Line), an aqualand area and a splash zone. Lambi Beach, a public sand and pebble beach, is equipped with sun loungers and parasols and accessible directly from the hotel. Sports enthusiasts can use the fitness room, join aerobics and yoga sessions, play on the two artificial grass tennis courts, the 5x5 football pitch, the multi-sport court, the beach volleyball and basketball-volleyball courts, or enjoy pétanque, mini-golf or table tennis. Water sports are available approximately 1.5 km away, and a diving school is located around 2 km from the resort.
Evening vibes
As the sun drops over the Aegean, the Blue Lagoon Resort shifts pace without slowing down. From June to September, a full international entertainment programme takes over each evening: live concerts, shows, themed nights, live music, theatrical performances and sports tournaments give every evening its own identity. This isn't background noise; it's a curated programme that genuinely animates the resort.
For a more restorative end to the day, the Votsalo Spa and Wellness Centre welcomes guests aged 16 and over with a heated indoor pool, sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi, all included in the stay. Personalised Apivita treatments, aromatherapy, facial and body care, massages and the hair salon are available at an additional charge, as is billiards.
Who is it for?
The Blue Lagoon Resort is built for families, and it shows in every layer of the offer. The Kids Club welcomes children aged 4 to 12 with a programme of creative and fun international activities, a mini-disco, a dedicated play area, two outdoor pools, a paddling pool for babies and a pirate boat. Parents can fully enjoy the adults-only pools and à la carte restaurants while children are looked after in a space designed around them.
The resort works equally well for couples and seniors who appreciate a well-organised all-inclusive with real dining choices, a serious spa offer and the option to explore Kos's historical riches: the town centre is just 2 km away, Kos Castle is 4.5 km, and the famous Hippocrates Tree is 4.3 km. For those who want everything on-site, the complex is entirely self-sufficient. For those who want to explore the island, the location is perfectly placed.
✨
The cherry on top
The one thing that sets it apart: the Greek restaurant Mythos, with its unobstructed view over the Aegean and its genuinely regional specialities, is a real table, not a backdrop. It's where you realise the Blue Lagoon Resort has put as much thought into its food as into its rooms.
